Manufactured from high-quality 316 Stainless Steel, these countersunk bolts from Pro-Bolt offer superior strength and corrosion resistance. With a mirror finish that requires no polishing, these bolts are ideal for applications where durability is paramount.
The stainless steel used in these bolts contains a minimum of 10.5% chromium, along with other elements such as nickel, molybdenum, titanium, copper, carbon, and nitrogen. The corrosion-resistant properties of stainless steel are attributed to the chromium-rich oxide film that provides a strong protective barrier.
This protective film is extremely thin and will usually self-repair when sufficient oxygen is available. However, under certain conditions, the passive state can be broken down, leading to corrosion.
The 316 stainless steel used in these countersunk bolts is suitable for low-stress applications where a durable finish is required.
The 316 stainless steel has good resistance to oxidation in intermittent service up to 870°C and in continuous service up to 925°C. However, continuous use at temperatures between 425-860°C is not recommended.
For fasteners, please refer to the torque values specified by your equipment manufacturer or listed below:
When applicable, please use antiseize or copper-based paste on the threads to prevent galling. If threadlock is used, a medium-grade threadlock is recommended.
The countersunk bolt length measurements include the head, and the number in brackets represents the thread length. These bolts are sold individually.
