The Pro-Bolt Flanged Hex Head Stainless Steel Bolts are manufactured from high-quality 316 Stainless Steel, offering superior strength and corrosion resistance. The dished out head with a captive washer (flange) provides added security, while the mirror-finish surface requires no polishing.
The bolts are made from Stainless Steel, which is an iron alloy with a minimum of 10.5% chromium. This composition provides excellent formability and strength, thanks to the addition of elements like Nickel, Molybdenum, Titanium, Copper, Carbon, and Nitrogen. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel comes from its protective film, which is chemically stable and passive. Under certain conditions, this film can be broken down, resulting in corrosion.
For low-stress applications where a durable finish is required, 316 Stainless Steel is an ideal choice. It has good resistance to oxidation in intermittent service to 870°C and in continuous service to 925°C. However, continuous use at 425-860°C is not recommended.
The torque values specified by your equipment manufacturer should be used wherever possible. For general fasteners, refer to the listed torque values. To prevent galling (where friction causes two stainless steel components to bond), apply antiseize or copper-based paste to the threads. If threadlock is to be used, a medium-grade is recommended.

The Hex Head Bolt length measurements are taken from below the head, with the number in brackets representing the thread length. Sold individually.
