ARP Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant - 1.69 fl oz Tube

The ARP Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant is a specially formulated lubricant designed to prevent threaded fasteners from seizing, rusting, and corrosion. It reduces tension pre-load scatter, eliminating the need for multiple cycles of tightening and loosening high-performance engine fasteners. This innovative formula boasts an incredible anti-seize performance, outshining traditional lubricants such as oil, moly, and others in this regard. One significant drawback of these conventional lubes is the frictional inconsistencies between them and the fastener. When a bolt is initially torqued, there's a high level of friction that results in a low preload value or stretch. As the bolt cycles multiple times, the friction decreases, leading to an increased preload. This phenomenon is known as "preload scatter." With ARP Ultra Torque lubricant, however, a fastener only needs to be torqued once to achieve 85% of its ideal preload, and this consistency remains consistent through all subsequent cycles, from race-prep machining to final assembly. Furthermore, ordinary lubes can result in significant discrepancies between the preloads of adjacent head bolts or studs due to their inconsistencies. This scatter leads to bore distortion, hinders piston ring seal, and adversely affects head gasket sealing. With ARP Ultra Torque assembly lubricant, these issues are effectively mitigated, ensuring optimal engine performance.
