The AIM Motorsport MyChron5 S is the state-of-the-art dashboard logger and kart lap timer, specially crafted for competitive kart racing. With a 25Hz GPS frequency and superior accuracy of up to 45cm (1.5ft), this device offers unparalleled precision in tracking speed, lap times, and other essential engine parameters. The redesigned Wi-Fi module boasts a fivefold increase in data download speed for seamless analysis. This advanced system is equipped with a powerful processor that's twice as fast as its predecessor, ensuring snappy performance and enabling the development of numerous additional features. Its sophisticated 9-axis inertial platform facilitates the calculation of various useful math channels. The MyChron5 S features a high-resolution graphical display that logs, views, and records kart engine parameters and lap data, including speed, lap times (with split and predictive functionality), gear, rpm, and temperature. It supports one temperature sensor input, which can be used for water temperature, under plug cylinder head temperature (CHT), or exhaust gas temperature (EGT). The kit comes with either an M10 (Rotax) or M5 water temperature sensor, an under plug CHT sensor, or a standard M5 or M12 EGT sensor to suit KF Engine Type. Additional sensors can be accommodated using the MyChron Expansion module, or for two temperature requirements, consider the MyChron5 S 2T version. The device offers seven configurable display colours for easy reading of essential numerical data such as lap times, lap number, RPM, and one temperature value on track. Post-race analysis is facilitated by downloading data to your PC using WiFi and employing the professional Race Studio software (available free of charge). Catering to racers of all levels, from beginners seeking essential functional information to professional teams requiring detailed, customised data, the MyChron5 S delivers comprehensive data acquisition solutions. The internal 4Gb memory stores recorded data for thorough post-race analysis. The integrated GPS automatically recognises tracks and magnetic strips without additional sensors or configuration, providing instant lap times, predictive lap times, and split times. Its robust nylon chassis with metallic push buttons offers excellent resistance to shocks and water, while the anti-scratch non-reflecting polycarbonate screen ensures clear visibility in diverse lighting conditions. The MyChron5 S also features fully customisable pages, adjustable display brightness based on ambient light, calculated gear number for shift karts, a wide display with configurable multicolour backlight, and rechargeable lithium battery with about 10 hours of duration. An optional external power lead connection is available to connect to your kart's 12v battery if preferred. Additionally, the system supports five RGB shift lights with customisable LED colours and RPM threshold values for instant gear monitoring, as well as flexible alarm settings. WiFi connectivity allows data downloading, online measures, firmware upgrades, parameter transmission, and module expansion options, such as the LCU-One Lambda controller for precise engine tuning, MyChron Expansion for additional sensors, and SmartyCam HD camera for professional videos with real-time data overlay.
