The AIM Motorsport Wheel Speed Sensor, available in both Magnetic and Hall Effect versions, is an essential component for accurate speed measurement within car telemetry systems. The magnetic wheel speed sensor employs a trigger magnet that rotates past the sensor unit as the wheel turns, with a bracket provided for easy installation on various components such as wheels, wheel hubs, propshafts or brake discs. The cable length measures approximately 1.7 meters. Alternatively, the Hall Effect Sensor is a non-contact device that requires a metallic trigger to pass in front of it; this sensor also necessitates the fabrication of a mounting bracket for optimal placement. To ensure accurate readings, maintain a distance of between 0.5mm and 2.0mm (0.007-0.07 inches) from the sensor to the trigger. The cable length extends to approximately 2.0 meters. For enhanced performance, a high-quality Honeywell ABS Hall Effect sensor is also offered. This sensor is compatible with 712 connections for EVO4 data loggers and 719 connections for MXL (Strada and Pista), MXG/MXS/MXP series including Strada, as well as MXL2 systems. Utilize a 719-719 Extension Lead to extend the sensor's reach to the desired length.
