The AIM Motorsport Wheel Speed Sensor (M12 Hall Speed Pick Up) is a sophisticated device that can be configured in either magnetic or hall effect variants to accurately measure wheel speed. The Magnetic Wheel Speed Sensor utilises a trigger magnet which rotates past it for measurement, and requires a mounting bracket (not included) for installation. Suitable locations may include the wheel, hub, prop shaft or brake disc. The cable length of this sensor is approximately 1.7m. The Hall Effect Sensor, on the other hand, operates through the non-contact detection of a metallic trigger passing in front of it. A custom bracket will typically be needed to securely mount the sensor. It's important to maintain a distance between the sensor and trigger within the 0.5mm to 2.0mm (0.007in - 0.07in) range for accurate readings. The cable length of this sensor is roughly 2.0m. For enhanced performance, we offer an upgraded version of the Hall Effect Sensor from Honeywell. Both versions of the Wheel Speed Sensor are compatible with the following AIM data loggers: 712 for EVO4, 719 for MXL (Strada and Pista), 719 for MXG/MXS/MXP (including Strada). An extension lead can be utilised to extend the cable length as necessary with the part number 719-719.
