The AIM Motorsport MyChron5 S Dash Logger / Kart Lap Timer is the latest iteration of our renowned datalogger, specifically designed for kart racing. Featuring an enhanced 25Hz GPS with improved accuracy to just 1.5m (45cm), this system offers unparalleled precision in tracking lap times and engine parameters. The redesigned Wi-Fi module boasts a faster download speed, making data transfer five times quicker than its predecessor. With a more powerful processor, the MyChron 5S delivers twice the performance of the current model, allowing for a multitude of new features to be developed. The upgraded inertial platform at 9 axes enables advanced mathematical channel calculations. The AIM MyChron5 S is a high-resolution graphical display that logs and records kart engine parameters alongside lap data. It offers various functionalities, such as speed, lap times (including split and predictive), gear, temperature, RPM, and data from the optional LCU-One Lambda Controller or MyChron Expansion module. The system accommodates one sensor input, which can be utilised to measure water temperature, cylinder head temperature, or exhaust gas temperature depending on your chosen sensor: M10 (Rotax) or M5 water temperature sensor, under plug CHT sensor, or EGT sensor (standard M5 or M12 for KF Engine Type). Additional sensors can be added using the MyChron Expansion module, or if you only require two temperature measurements, consider our MyChron5 S 2T version. The unit features seven customisable display colours, ensuring clear and easy-to-read numerical readouts of lap times, lap number, RPM in a configurable scale, and one temperature value on track. Back in the paddock, you can review all relevant data on the display: lap times with best lap indication, max RPM, and max temperature value. The MyChron 5 S caters to kart enthusiasts of all levels - from beginners seeking essential functional information to professional teams requiring detailed and specialised data. Data is recorded internally in a 4Gb memory and can be downloaded via Wi-Fi for post-race analysis using our free Race Studio software. Key features include integrated GPS with automatic track recognition, robust nylon housing with metallic push buttons, wide display with configurable multicolour backlight, ambient light sensor for optimal viewing in various conditions, calculated gear number for shift karts, rechargeable lithium battery with 10-hour duration, and an optional external power lead connection. Five RGB shift lights can be configured per gear with customisable RPM thresholds, offering visual monitoring of your gear changes. Alarms can also be tailored to suit specific conditions and preferences. The system allows Wi-Fi data transfer, firmware updates, and parameter transmission using the Data Key or fast Wi-Fi connection. Expandable options include the LCU-One Lambda controller for carburetion tuning, MyChron Expansion module for additional sensors, and SmartyCam HD camera for professional videos with real-time data overlaid.
