The AIM Motorsport MyChron5 S is a cutting-edge dash logger and kart lap timer specifically designed for racing enthusiasts. With an upgraded 25Hz GPS, it provides precise accuracy down to 45 cm (1.5 ft), ensuring accurate tracking of lap times, speeds, and other important data. The redesigned Wi-Fi module offers faster downloads at 5 times the speed, while the more powerful processor allows for the development of numerous new features. The MyChron5 S features a 9-axis inertial platform, which facilitates the calculation of various math channels and helps improve overall performance. This system logs and records vital engine parameters such as speed, lap times (including split and predictive), gear, temperature, rpm, and data from optional LCU-One Lambda Controller and MyChron Expansion modules. One temperature sensor is included, which can be used to measure either water temperature, cylinder head temperature (CHT), or exhaust gas temperature (EGT). Additional sensors can be added using the MyChron Expansion module or by choosing the 2T (two-temperature) version if required. The high-resolution graphical display allows drivers to view essential information in clear, easy-to-read numerical formats. Seven configurable display colours are available for improved visibility, while lap times, RPM, and maximum temperatures can be scrolled through after the race. The unit is suitable for both beginners and professionals, offering tailored data solutions for all levels of racing experience. Data is stored internally in a 4Gb memory and can be downloaded via Wi-Fi for post-race analysis using the professional Race Studio software (free to download). The MyChron5 S features integrated GPS, which automatically recognises track locations and provides lap times, predictive lap times, and split times without any additional sensors. The robust housing, wider display, and anti-scratch non-reflecting polycarbonate screen ensure excellent durability and readability in various lighting conditions. Additionally, the MyChron5 S offers fully configurable pages with graphical bars or digits, ambient light sensing for optimal viewing, and calculated gear numbers for shift karts. The rechargeable lithium battery provides a long-lasting power source (up to 10 hours), while Wi-Fi connectivity allows for easy data downloads, firmware updates, and real-time parameter transmission via the Data Key or Wi-Fi connection. Optional expansion modules include the LCU-One Lambda controller for engine tuning, MyChron Expansion for additional sensors, and SmartyCam HD camera for professional videos with overlaid real-time data.
