Its primary function involves acquiring and displaying data derived from your vehicle's ECU, GPS module (included in the kit), analogue/digital inputs, and predefined math channels. Additionally, you can expand the system's potential by integrating up to eight expansion modules for enhanced performance and data capabilities. The MXG 1.3 Dash Logger comes complete with a GPS09 module, wiring harness, data lead, and RaceStudio3 software (download to ensure the latest version). Featuring an odometer and trip meter, this system offers essential metrics for tracking performance. One of the key features that sets the MXG 1.3 apart from its predecessors, such as the MXS and MXP dash loggers, is its size: a spacious 7" wide display, making it ideal for wider cockpit installations. Connecting to your ECU whether standard or racing is an intuitive process that generally requires only a cable connection, eliminating the need for multiple sensor connections. Data acquired typically includes crucial metrics like RPM, engine load, throttle position (TPS), temperature readings (oil/air/water), oil pressure, battery voltage, speed, gear position, and lambda value (air/fuel ratio). The MXG 1.3's extensive list of ECU drivers caters to over 1000+ different vehicle types, ensuring broad compatibility. The GPS09 module offers several cable options: 0.5m, 1.3m, 2m, or 4m in length, with the "roof version" providing a 4m cable that enters from underneath for seamless installation on covered vehicles. This versatility extends to digital outputs, each capable of delivering 1 amp at 12 volts and configurable to control external systems based on analogue or digital inputs. The high-contrast 7" TFT display allows you to create and customise multiple pages and displays using dedicated software. You can easily switch between pages by utilising one or two push buttons, while an ambient light sensor maintains optimal backlight levels. Configurable RGB alarm LEDs enable you to select conditions, colours, and various alarm types solid or flashing, with accompanying text messages and customisable priorities. The integrated shift light offers numerous advanced multi-coloured patterns that can be tailored to your preferences for each unique gear. Lap time calculation and track position analysis are simplified with the GPS09 module, which stores more than 200 world tracks' start/finish line coordinates and immediately begins sampling lap and split times upon detection. The RaceStudio3 Track Manager software allows you to add start/finish line coordinates for unlisted tracks before heading to the track. The CAN output enables direct communication with existing CAN networks, expanding your vehicle control possibilities. WiFi connectivity offers wireless configuration, calibration, and data downloading, eliminating the need for a USB cable once initial setup is complete. Two analog camera inputs enable you to switch to a mirror camera view or utilise event management, making rear visibility in cars like the Lotus Exige particularly convenient. The MXG 1.3's lightweight aluminium military-spec motorsport connectors ensure durability and reliability. To further augment the system's capabilities, you can integrate various expansion modules such as SmartyCam HD or SmartyCam HD GP cameras, Channel Expansion, TC Hub, LCU-One Lambda Controller, and Memory Module via the built-in CAN bus.
