The AIM Motorsport Wheel Speed Sensor/Pick Up is designed for precise measurement of wheel speed, offering reliable performance and accurate data. It comes in two variants: Magnetic and Hall Effect options. The Magnetic version features a magnetic design that senses a trigger magnet as it rotates past, allowing for flexible mounting positions on the wheel, wheel hub, prop shaft or brake disc. The sensor comes with a bracket for easy installation (not supplied), while a trigger magnet is also included in the package. It is recommended to maintain an approximate cable length of 1.7 meters for optimal functionality. On the other hand, the Hall Effect version is a non-contact device that requires a metallic trigger to be within a specific distance range (0.5 - 2.0 mm or 0.007 - 0.07 inches) for proper operation. A custom bracket will usually need to be fabricated to mount the sensor in an appropriate position. The Hall Effect version boasts a higher-quality Honeywell ABS hall effect sensor for enhanced precision. Both versions connect via the standard 712 interface, making them compatible with EVO4 Data Loggers, while the 719 connection variant is suitable for MXL (Strada and Pista), MXG/MXS/MXP (including Strada), and MXL2 systems. To extend the cable length to meet individual requirements, a 719-719 Extension Lead can be utilized.
