The updated GPS technology incorporated in the Solo 2 DL utilises data from three satellite constellations (GPS, Glonass, Galileo) resulting in improved speed and positioning precision. With a quick start-up time of seconds and accuracy to two hundredths of a second for lap times, this device delivers exceptional performance. The Solo 2 DL boasts a range of customisable backlight colours for the display, ensuring optimal visibility in various driving conditions. Its high contrast, sharp screen allows drivers to easily interpret displayed data. Preloaded with over 1,000 global track maps, the device automatically identifies its location and sets up start line coordinates. If your specific track is not recognised, the Solo 2 DL enters auto-learning mode to build the layout based on your car's position. With enhanced GPS technology, predictive lap timing provides real-time performance comparison against personal best laps, while LED indicators offer visual feedback. The theoretical lap timing function calculates the optimal lap time by analysing sector times. Additionally, delta format presentation allows for easy comparison of current and best lap times. The Solo 2 DL is suitable not only for circuit racing but also for point-to-point events, regularities, and performance tests like 0-60 mph. All data is recorded and immediately accessible post-session via the Race Studio 3 software for comprehensive analysis. This DL version includes extra inputs to obtain ECU data such as RPM, engine load, throttle position (TPS), temperature readings, pressure measurements, battery voltage, speed, gear, and lambda value (air/fuel ratio). With ongoing updates to the available ECU drivers, compatibility currently stands at approximately 3,000 different ECUs for various car and motorcycle models. The Solo 2 DL offers a choice of connection methods: OBDII port or direct CAN/RS232 channel. It also features a coil RPM input that accepts square wave signals (8-50 V) or pulse signals (150-450 V ignition coil trigger - primary circuit). Equipped with integrated Wi-Fi, data can be securely and swiftly transferred up to 50m away to a laptop or computer for detailed analysis using the AIM Race Studio 3 software.
