The AIM Motorsport MyChron5 S 2T is an advanced kart racing dash logger and lap timer that comes with integrated GPS for precise tracking of speed, lap times, and other engine parameters. Redesigned from its predecessor, this version boasts a number of improvements including a higher GPS frequency of 25 Hz, improved accuracy of approximately 45 cm (1.5 m), and a faster Wi-Fi module with increased baud rate for five times quicker data downloads. With a powerful processor and increased memory, the MyChron5 S 2T allows for the development of various math channels and can support two temperature sensor inputs, which are supplied with one standard M5 EGT sensor. The optional second temperature sensor input can be used to measure water temperature, cylinder head temperature (CHT), or exhaust gas temperature (EGT). The device features a high-resolution graphical display that is both easy to read and configurable to show up to seven different colours for clear numerical readouts. The MyChron5 S 2T logs and stores data including speed, lap times (with split and predictive functions), gear, rpm, as well as optional LCU-One Lambda Controller and MyChron Expansion module information. The device is suitable for both amateur racers seeking functional information, as well as professional teams requiring detailed analysis. The built-in 25 Hz GPS allows for automatic tracking of lap times at various racing tracks without additional sensors or configurations. The robust housing with a wider display and anti-reflective polycarbonate screen ensures high readability in diverse lighting conditions. With an ambient light sensor, the display brightness is automatically adjusted according to the environment light. The device comes with a rechargeable lithium battery that can last up to ten hours on a single charge and includes an optional external power lead connection for those who prefer connecting to their kart's 12v battery. Additionally, there are five RGB shift lights that can be configured for each gear and act as alarm indicators in various situations. The Wi-Fi connectivity allows for easy data transfer, online measures, firmware upgrades, and parameter transmission using the Data Key or Wi-Fi connection. Furthermore, with the addition of the LCU-One Lambda controller and MyChron Expansion module, racers can gain additional information about their kart's performance including carburetion tuning and real-time data overlay in videos from the SmartyCam HD camera.
