The Turbosmart BOV5 Universal Blow Off Valve (BOV) is a premium upgrade to your vehicle's factory blow-off valve/dump valve. With its modular design and superior flow rate, this compact 38mm Universal DP Black and Black valve offers enhanced performance and durability. It replaces weaker OE plastic parts for long-lasting applications. Direct bolt-on installation makes this an easy addition to your car, with various valve types available to suit your specific requirements. The BOV5 is suitable for high-performance vehicles and custom builds up to 600HPA. Turbosmart has developed the BOV5 range to cater to cars with limited engine bay space or design constraints that make fitting a multi-fit blow-off valve challenging. Application-specific kits include all necessary fittings for straightforward installation. Manufactured from robust lightweight billet aluminium and precise piston tolerances, the BOV5 eliminates O-ring seals, reducing common failures in other designs and enhancing responsiveness. Available as universal, turbo specific or vehicle-specific options, the BOV5 is offered in Dual-Port (50/50 split between recirculation and atmospheric release), Plumb-Back (fully recirculating) or Supersonic (100% vent to atmosphere) configurations. The Dual-Port valve offers a balance between quiet operation at lower boost levels and noticeable turbo whoosh at high boost, with an optional blanking plate for full atmospheric release or recirculation. The Plumb-Back valve provides a quiet alternative, fully recirculating excess pressure back into the intake system, ideal for sensitive airflow systems and off-road applications. The Supersonic valve offers superior flow performance with an attention-grabbing 'supersonic' sound. The Vee Port Pro is a high-flow, lightweight alternative designed for space-constrained projects, with its quick-release V-band clamp simplifying fabrication and installation. The BOV5's modular design allows for easy disassembly, maintenance or modification to convert between Dual-Port, Plumb-Back and Supersonic configurations as needed.
