AP Racing Factory Big Brake Kits are comprehensive brake systems designed for high performance road and trackday applications. Featuring advanced 4 or 6 piston alloy calipers and larger 2 piece discs, they deliver exceptional braking power. The increased stopping force significantly reduces brake fade, enhancing the driving experience on both spirited road trips and intense track days. The Factory Big Brake Kits are a complete solution, including all necessary hardware such as aluminium caliper mounting brackets, braided brake lines, brake pads, and AP Racing's high-quality brake fluid. The calipers boast dust seals and a long-lasting, corrosion-resistant finish to ensure years of dependable performance. Each kit is specifically tailored to your vehicle, with disc diameter and width, as well as caliper type and size, meticulously calculated to optimise braking performance. The 2 piece disc design incorporates a premium quality rotor and lightweight alloy mounting bell, minimising rotational mass and lowering replacement costs. The disc's expanded width in combination with carefully engineered cooling vanes ensures efficient heat dissipation, reducing the risk of overheating and warping. Most kits come equipped with APF404 compound, high-performance fast road brake pads. However, alternative pad compounds are available for purchase if desired. The kits generally consist of 2 large 4 or 6 pot calipers (varying by application), 2 large diameter discs (1 or 2 piece depending on application), aluminium caliper mounting brackets, braided brake lines, brake pads, and all essential fittings. Please bear in mind that larger wheels may be necessary to guarantee clearance; refer to the vehicle-specific notes for minimum wheel size requirements.
