AP Racing's Factory Big Brake Kits are designed to meet the exacting standards of performance enthusiasts. They utilise 4 or 6 piston calipers with large diameter and wider discs to ensure consistent, high-performance braking. The discs are usually made from a 2 piece design consisting of a high-quality rotor and a lightweight alloy mounting bell. This reduces the rotational mass and minimises the cost of replacing discs. The increased width of the discs, along with optimised cooling vanes, dissipates heat efficiently to reduce the risk of warping and prevent overheating. AP Racing's meticulous design approach ensures that each kit is tailored to specific vehicles, with disc diameter and width, as well as caliper type and size, carefully selected for optimal performance. These kits are suitable for a range of high-performance road cars and trackday machines. They include APF404 compound, high quality fast road brake pads, and various pad compounds are available for purchase separately. Each kit comes with 2 x large 4 or 6 pot calipers (depending on application), 2 x large diameter discs (1 or 2 piece depending on application), aluminium caliper mounting brackets, braided brake lines, brake pads, and AP Racing brake fluid.
