AP Racing Factory Big Brake Kits are comprehensive, easy-to-install brake systems designed for high-performance road driving and trackday use. By incorporating advanced 4 or 6 piston alloy calipers and larger diameter 2-piece grooved discs, these kits deliver exceptional braking performance for both road and race cars. The adoption of larger discs and multi-piston calipers results in significantly increased stopping power, while the reduced brake fade ensures consistent braking response even during prolonged high-speed driving or repeated hard stops. Each kit comes with complete hardware, including all necessary fittings and premium brake fluid, for a seamless installation process. The calipers are engineered with dust seals and a long-lasting corrosion-resistant finish to ensure a dependable service life. The 2-piece discs, consisting of high-quality rotors and lightweight alloy mounting bells, offer improved heat dissipation and reduced rotational mass for enhanced performance. Carefully engineered for each specific vehicle model, these kits optimise caliper size and disc diameter to achieve peak braking efficiency and ensure the perfect balance of stopping power and feel. Each kit comes with APF404 compound, high-performance fast road brake pads as standard, while alternative pad compounds can be purchased separately for different driving scenarios. Typical contents include: 2 x large diameter 4 or 6 pot calipers (depending on application), 2 x large 1 or 2 piece grooved discs, aluminium caliper mounting brackets, braided brake lines, premium brake pads and all essential fittings. However, larger wheel sizes may be required to accommodate the bigger calipers; please consult the vehicle-specific notes for minimum recommended wheel sizes.
