Each disc undergoes stringent testing on a dynamometer and trackside, ensuring optimal durability and efficiency. The available disc face types include: - P: Plain - Ideal for road driving where noise reduction is important. - G4, 8, 12, 24: Grooved (straight, forward-facing) - A traditional groove pattern with the number representing the quantity of grooves on the disc face. - CG4, 8, 12, 24: Curved Groove (backward-facing) - Standard backward-facing groove pattern; the number indicates how many grooves are present. - CR4, 8, 12, 24: Curved Groove (backward-facing to the edge of disc diameter) - Effective at clearing debris from the disc surface. The number shows how many grooves there are. - D: Cross Drilled - Drilled holes chamfered with holes arranged in lines across the face, still preferred by some pad materials but may affect disc lifespan. - GD: Grooved and Drilled - Combines groove and drilling for improved road performance. - RD: Radius Drilled - Similar to cross drilled but with a radiused runout to the edge of the disc, resulting in reduced noise and enhanced life.
