Sachs High Performance Clutch Cover

When engines are tuned to make more power and torque the original clutch can often be pushed beyond its working limits and the result is the clutch slipping which means your extra power is not being utilised. These high performance clutch covers from Sachs are a direct replacement for an OEM clutch cover and offer a higher clamping force which enables them to transmit more power and torque especially when used in conjunction with a Sachs high performance clutch plate. This makes them perfect for use in tuned road cars or competition cars where regulations stipulate an original style clutch. When you select your vehicle you will see two different torque ratings. These are the torque ratings the clutch cover will handle when used with either a Sachs organic or sintered plate. Sachs High Performance Clutch Plate – Sintered Paddle Friction Material

When engines are tuned to make more power and torque the original clutch can often be pushed beyond its working limits and the result is the clutch slipping which means your extra power is not being utilised. These high performance sintered paddle clutch plates from Sachs are a direct replacement for an OEM clutch plate and have a much more aggressive friction surface which allows them to handle up to 60% more torque. This makes them ideal for competition cars where a more aggressive clutch actuation is acceptable. For these clutch plates to operate at their maximum torque capacity they should be used with a Sachs high performance clutch cover. These high performance organic clutch plates from Sachs are a direct replacement for an OEM clutch plate and have a higher quality friction surface which allows them to handle up to 40% more torque. This makes them perfect for use in tuned road cars or competition cars where regulations stipulate an original style clutch. The plates have a sprung centre to dampen the vibration between engine and transmission. For these clutch plates to operate at their maximum torque capacity they should be used with a Sachs high performance clutch cover. Helix Clutch Cover Assembly

Helix Clutch Cover Assembles have been designed for use on standard road going vehicles and for use on road vehicles that have had their bhp and torque increased, these are also suitable for competition use with a range of sizes and materials to suit all types of applications. The clutch cover itself is a lug type design which is designed to have better heat dissipation to enable the clutch to function more efficiently. The design is also less prone to dust build up due to having a more open design allowing the dust to escape, thus preventing it from hindering the performance of the clutch. The cover assembly features a compact one-piece aluminium alloy construction for strength. The cover assembly can be used with either cerametallic or organic friction faced drive plates in either single or twin plate format. There clutch covers are all vehicle specific. Helix Cerametallic Paddle Clutch Plates

These Cerametallic Paddle Clutch Plates from Helix are available in either sprung or rigid hub designs. A rigid hub is designed for more demanding working conditions which require high strength and durability. A Sprung centre of the drive plate provides some protection against drive line shock, minimising the chances of a failure. The cerametallic friction material is split into sections which are riveted on to the drive plate and are thicker than sintered drive plates. This provides a higher heat soak capacity and better heat dissipation. This type of material is mainly used in rally applications.
