The AIM Motorsport PDM32 represents a significant advancement in vehicle electrical system management, offering a comprehensive solution for powering and monitoring circuits within performance vehicles. This 32-channel power distribution module effectively replaces traditional fuse boxes and relays, streamlining wiring harnesses while enhancing both reliability and control capabilities. This kit includes the PDM32 unit itself, a vibrant 5” TFT display with road icons, and a 2-metre GPS cable for precise data acquisition.

Designed for the demands of motorsport, the PDM32 isn’t simply a power distribution system; it's an integrated data hub. It facilitates simplified electronic installations, providing greater control over all vehicle electrical circuits. Beyond basic switching, the module incorporates extensive data logging functionality, capable of recording output status, ECU parameters and critical lap timing information.

PDM32 Power Outputs – Detailed Specification

The PDM32’s output configuration is meticulously engineered to accommodate diverse electrical loads. It comprises a combination of high-side and half-bridge outputs, providing flexibility for various applications:

• 4 x High-Power Outputs: Rated up to 20A each.
• 12 x Mid-Power Outputs: Rated up to 15A each.
• 12 x Low-Power Outputs: Rated up to 10A each.
• 4 x Half-Bridge Outputs: Rated up to 35A each.

The total continuous maximum current capacity of the PDM32 is 120A. Crucially, each output incorporates feedback mechanisms that monitor critical parameters such as open circuits, short circuits, voltage levels and fault occurrences. The frequency of fault retries and the time between these attempts are user-definable via the RaceStudio3 software.

All outputs can be configured to utilise Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) for soft start/stop functionality, minimising inrush currents and extending component lifespan. Configuration and monitoring of all circuits is achieved through the intuitive RaceStudio3 software suite.

The PDM32 also features a comprehensive array of inputs to gather data from various vehicle sensors and systems:

• 8 x Analogue/Digital Inputs: Versatile inputs accepting both analogue and digital signals.

GPS Module – Enhanced Track Analysis

The included GPS09 module facilitates accurate lap timing and detailed track mapping. The PDM32’s internal database contains information for over 4000 race tracks, simplifying setup upon arrival at a new circuit. The GPS module is available with various cable lengths to suit different vehicle configurations and can be mounted either through the roof or from the side.

5” TFT Display – Configurable Dash Integration

This kit includes a 5” TFT display, designed to replace traditional dashboard gauges and warning lamps. Available in ‘Race’ or ‘Street’ icon sets, the display offers fully customisable layouts allowing drivers to prioritise critical information. It can also function as a reversing mirror when paired with an optional camera (sold separately), enhancing visibility for vehicles with limited rearward vision. Up to two cameras can be connected for comprehensive front and rear views.

The PDM system is further expandable through the addition of button modules, such as Remote Button CAN Interface Keypads (4-15 buttons) or CAN Wireless Wheel 10 Button Plates (4, 8 or 10 buttons).

Connectivity & Supply

The AIM Motorsport PDM32 is supplied with a 35-pin AMP connector featuring gold-plated pins for reliable connectivity. A pre-assembled wiring harness is available separately for simplified installation.
