Aldon Automotive Performance Distributors provide a customised ignition solution for tuned engines, enhancing power and drivability.

These distributors are developed from new Lucas or Bosch units to match specific camshaft profiles and deliver an optimised ignition curve.

They cater to various applications on BMC 'A' Series, MGB/Marina TC, Ford X/Flow and Ford OHC engines.

Most versions can be configured with a mechanical advance for twin sidedraught carburettors or fitted with the advanced Ignitor electronic ignition system for improved reliability and consistent ignition triggering.

The Ignitor is an unobtrusive solution that maintains the original look of classic vehicles while boosting performance.

BMC 'A' Series:

• 100AY: For engines using camshafts such as Piper 270/285, Kent 266/276 and 286.
• 100AYV: Identical to 100AY but with a vacuum advance for camshaft ratios above 10:1.
• 100AYS: Same as 100AY but with a distributor cap housing side-exiting H.T. leads, required for Sprite/Midget applications.
• 100AYSV: Similar to 100AYV but with side-exiting H.T. leads.
• 100AYP: Equipped with a later drive dog for 'A' plus blocks in Metro engines.
• 100AR: Designed for rally and race tuned engines using camshafts like 649, sprint or supersprint types.
• 100ARS: Same as 100AR but with side-exiting H.T. leads.

• 101BY2: A vacuum advance distributor for MGBs and Marina TCs using HIF4 SU carburettors, enhancing driveability while retaining 'run-on' resistance.
• 101BR1: A non-vacuum distributor for tuned engines with camshafts such as 714, 715, Piper 270/285 and side draught carburettors.

• 103FX1: A non-vacuum distributor for engines using side draught carburettors but retaining standard 'GT' camshafts.
• 103FX1S: Identical to 103FX1 but with side-exiting H.T. leads, needed when a pair of side draught carburettors are fitted to 1100 and 1300 engines.
• 103FXY: A non-vacuum distributor for tuned X/Flow engines using camshafts such as A2, BCF1, Piper 270/285, Kent 234, 244 in conjunction with side draught carburettors.
• 103FXYV: Similar to 103FXY but with vacuum advance for engines with twin choke down draught carburettors.
• 103FXYS: Like 103FXY but with side-exiting H.T. leads and suitable for 1100 and 1300 engines.
• 103FXYSI: Identical to 103FXYS but fitted with Aldon Ignitor electronic ignition instead of points.
