Powerflex's upgraded polyurethane engine & gearbox mounts are designed to provide improved performance and handling in spirited road or track driving. The stock mounts are designed with Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) in mind, but they may not be ideal for the extra stresses caused by aggressive driving.

Upgrading to a Powerflex engine mount allows for less flex in the engine mounting, resulting in less engine movement while maintaining superb sound damping. This means less wasted power, sharper gear changes and reduced stress transmitted to the downpipe.

Powerflex offers different compounds to cater to specific driver preferences. The red compound mounts (product code ending in R) are the softest on offer and are ideal for diesel engines due to their ability to soak up the most NVH. They can also be used on petrol engines, although they may still be harder than the factory engine mount. The yellow compound is a middle ground, while the purple compound mounts (product code ending in P) are the stiffest short of the black series and are recommended for track use.

The upgraded Powerflex mount will allow you to take your driving to the next level by minimizing NVH, resulting in improved performance and handling. If you're looking for a more aggressive driving experience, the purple compound mounts may be the best option. However, if you prefer a balance between performance and comfort, the red or yellow compounds may be the better choice.

For diesel engines, Powerflex recommends using the softest red compound mounts to soak up the most NVH. These are also suitable for petrol engines and can provide improved performance and handling. The purple compound mounts are not recommended for diesel engines due to their increased stiffness.

If you're looking for the ultimate track performance, the black series bushes may be available for some cars. These use the hardest compound Powerflex makes and will transmit a lot of NVH but offer the most rigidity short of a solid engine mount.
