The WOSP High Output Starter Motors are based around Denso high torque units for exceptional reliability. Units referred to as 'PMGR' are produced and supplied with lightweight magnetic field coils and planetary gear reduction. The planetary gear reduction units feature an inline gear reduction unit with sun and planet gears.

Most WOSP starter motors have a circular stepped register, which enables the motors to be rotated through 360 degrees on the mounting, allowing for the perfect mounting position to be obtained.
