Note that sports cats can not legally be installed on vehicles manufactured after 1st March 2001 for use on public roads unless type ECE 103R approved. Additionally, fitting De Cat/Cat Bypass or GPF delete/bypass to such a vehicle will cause it to fail the MOT emissions test, rendering it unroadworthy and illegal.

A remap is usually required after installation due to changes in ECU readings from the Lambda sensors in the exhaust.
