Hi, I’m Shah, the founder of Compare.Parts and I’ve been a car enthusiastic since before I could walk. My fiancee calls my love for cars an obsession, my friends are a little more polite and call it a passion.

I’ve been modifying cars since before I got my license. I went through the same journey as most car enthusiasts, starting off with insurance friendly mods when I was young, to a road legal R33 Skyline GTR with close to 1,000 horsepower under the bonnet. Japanese Performance magazine described me as an “Otaku” which translated from Japanese means someone with an obsessive interest.

I wasted so much time on forums, ebay, Yahoo Japan, forums, social media looking for car parts. Trawling through pages in Google, finding what I needed in some deep dark place on the web.

There are some amazing companies out there that sell parts, from independants like SP Leinonen with his Dashbox through to the mainstream guys that we all know like Burton Power, Demon Tweeks etc.

So I set about to create a site where all of these companies could list their parts in one place. That’s what Compare.Parts is all about.

It’s the world’s first search engine for aftermarket parts. It has been a personal project of mine for years now and I have recently been able to dedicate even more time to it.

One of the many things I love about the car enthusiasts is that we all appreciate and love cars of all shapes and sizes. I confess I have more knowledge of Japanese cars, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have love for the Exotics, Euro, Muscle, Classics, 4×4’s, Trucks, etc. If your car isn’t listed on the site, drop me a message and I will do my best to get the car listed, if you sell parts online and want to get listed, get in touch here.

Compare.Parts is my opportunity to give something back to the automotive community. This is your website. With your feedback and support, I hope to make Compare.Parts a really useful and important resource.
