Entering production in the second half of 1999 the Honda S2000 AP1 inline four-cylinder dual overhead cam VTEC engine powerplant capable of 247 Hp / 218 Nm of torque.
The F20C engine is mounted behind the front axle to provide near 50:50 weight distribution so it handles like it’s on rails; the other benefit is all that empty space in the engine bay is very favourable for performance modifications.
These ultra-high revving masterpieces redline at 8,800 Rpm with the additional VTEC actuators engaging between 5,500-6,000 Rpm dependant on ECU mapping.
